What to expect as an INTEGRATE Trainee

Program Outline

Year 1 (TA or other-funded)

Fall Semester

  • Nomination and Admittance
  • Work with Trainer (Advisor) to determine concentration
  • Attend INTEGRATE Colloquiums
  • Attend weekly Connect Session
  • Research team formation and initial connection with sponsor

Spring Semester

  • INTEGRATE Orientation Course
  • Attend INTEGRATE Colloquiums
  • Attend weekly Connect Session
  • Engagement in research teams
  • Engagement with partners for internships/secondments

Year 2 (TA or other-funded)

Fall Semester

  • Concentration course [1]
  • Begin year-long Expedition Project
  • Attend INTEGRATE Colloquiums
  • Attend weekly Connect Session

[1] Complete three total concentration courses

Spring Semester

  • Concentration course
  • Complete Expedition Project
  • Attend INTEGRATE Colloquiums
  • Attend weekly Connect Session
  • Attend and present research at Annual Symposium

Year 3 (NRT-funded)
